At TGNC (Nutrition Professionals Network Initiative LTD/GTE), we believe food is more than just sustenance — it’s medicine, it’s dignity, and it’s hope.
This World Food Day (August 16th, 2025), we’re doing more than handing out food:
We’re teaching families what to eat, how to choose healthier foods, and how to build a culture of nutrition that will last for generations.

But to make this happen, we need YOU.

🥗 WHY WE PREFER FUNDS OVER RANDOM FOOD DONATIONS:

While we deeply appreciate goodwill from everyone, here’s why we’re prioritising monetary donations and carefully selected healthy staples over random food items:

🔹 Food Safety is a Priority:
We want to avoid expired, poorly stored, or contaminated foods that could harm vulnerable families.

🔹 We’re Promoting Education Through the Food Boxes:
Each item we include is intentional. From healthy grains to protein-rich options, we want these boxes to teach mothers what to buy at the market and how to prepare nutritious meals on a budget.

🔹 Quality Over Quantity:
It’s not just about filling bellies. It’s about providing the right nutrition that will fight malnutrition, boost immunity, and improve quality of life.

🔹 Streamlined Logistics:
Funds allow us to bulk-purchase sealed, safe, and high-quality foods at wholesale prices, ensuring every naira is maximised for impact.

🏢 WHY WE’RE LAUNCHING THE TGNC FOOD BANK

This is not a one-time campaign. The TGNC Food Bank will become a long-term resource hub where:

🍲 Food is intentionally selected and stored safely in our Ibadan-based warehouse.
📚 Families receive education, not just food, so they leave empowered.
🤝 Communities get a consistent place of support, creating trust and lasting change.

We’re building a food bank that’s curated by nutrition professionals — a first of its kind in Nigeria — bridging the gap between nutrition education and food access.
